Calvaria are a rising force in the melodic metal scene, blending the intensity of modern metalcore with the epic grandeur of classic heavy metal and the rebellious edge of '80s metal and alternative metal. Formed in early 2022, the band have quickly made a name for themselves with a powerful sound driven by crushing riffs, soaring melodies, and evocative lyrics.
Fronted by the dynamic Scott King on lead vocals, Calvaria's lineup features Natasha Bray on lead guitar, whose shredding skills and melodic leads define the band’s sound. Mike Lee holds down rhythm guitar, creating a tight, heavy backdrop, while Alex Carpenter's thunderous bass lines and Will Vergonnet's pounding drums lay the foundation for their powerful sound.
Since their formation, Calvaria has gained serious momentum, sharing stages with major label bands and earning international acclaim with their debut EP 'Prophecy', including airplay on Planet Rock Radio and also being featured as one of the 2023 top 10 upcoming bands of the year on ERB Radio's 'The Metal Show'. Their energetic live performances and unique blend of styles have set them apart as a band to watch in the metal and rock world.
Currently, the band is hard at work in the studio, preparing to unleash their next evolution: a brand new EP slated for release early 2025. With their blend of powerful metal influences, Calvaria are ready to make their mark on the metal scene.
